Mr. and Mrs. Flory!

**My brother is officially married!!**
The beautiful Bride and Groom
Last night we went to The Moot Houe for the rehearsal dinner and it was amazing! Everything was SO delicious, especially the peanut butter pie!
The original 5!
After dinner, we headed back to the hotel and my sister took the kids to the pool while we waiting for 'Mr. Sprinkles and Glitter' to arrive. He finally got in at 11:30pm and ordered FatShack delivery. Neither of us have ever eaten there, but my brother recommended it and they were still open so he went for it. Their macaroni bites were incredible! I may have stole more than one! ;)

We woke up today and met everyone downstairs for breakfast and then we all went our separate ways. I went with my bonus-mom to drop something off at the reception location and ended up setting up for the reception.

Once we were done, we quickly got lunch and started getting ready for the wedding. Note to self:: Do NOT let your sister "try" something new with your hair an hour before your brothers wedding. Lesson learned. We met up with my family in the lobby and headed over to the wedding. It was absolutely GORGEOUS!! (We weren't allowed to take pictures, but wait until you see the ones from the photographer. It was outside in a garden and picture perfect!)

After the ceremony, we headed over to the reception. They had the cutest little personal touches that were adorable. The name cards were attached to bicycle bells! People would ring them throughout the night for the couple to kiss- cutest thing ever!!
The food was amazing and the music was great. The DJ's assistant was a guy that apparently got 4th place on 'So You Think You Can Dance?' and he he taught us how to Dougie. It was a great night! We all had so much fun- even though my sister and I lost the selfie war to my cousins Jess and Damion. ;)
My favorite part BY FAR was when my brother and his wife came out for their first dance and it was the song our parents did their first dance to. About half way through they invited my dad and bonus-mom to come out and join them So, SO sweet!! My sister and I were crying like babies!
It's crazy to think that our small family of 5 has now grown to a family of 10!! I absolutely love it!
So beyond happy for my brother and his new wife. They are both amazing and I wish them nothing but the best! Love you both!!!

Literally the hardest hike I've ever done!

Yesterday after work I flew into Denver and took a 2 hour shuttle ride (should of only been an hour) to Fort Collins, Colorado for my brothers wedding this weekend!! To say I am beyond excited is an understatement!!

Once I finally made it to the hotel after the shuttle fiasco (the driver left someone's luggage in the middle of an empty parking lot!) I hung out with my parents and sister for awhile and then went to bed.

When I woke up today, I went back to my parents hotel room and my brother brought us all breakfast burritos- SO good!! And then we set off for a hike with a large group from the wedding up to where my brother purposed to his fiance, Shala. **It all sounded so good in theory..... ;)
We started the hike and about 15 minutes in, my cousin Jess (she is like a sister to me) and I were already wondering when the first snack break was going to be. It was tough!! Luckily, her husband Damion works for Frito Lays and had a backpack full of goodies!

After awhile, we reach an area with a huge rock overlooking a beautiful reservoir. We were all so excited- thinking we had made it to the top! We were enjoying the view and snapping some pictures when someone said we should keep going. Keep going where? Back down? We were definitely surprised to find out that we were barley halfway!!
Nothing like being the 7th wheel!! :)
We kept going straight up and took lots of breaks. we kept saying we were going to stop and head back to the cars but we kept going. We eventually got separated from the group, but they were nice enough to leave us an 'arrow' made of rocks when we got to a fork in the road. ;)

We went on a little bit further and my sister and Jess decided to head back down to the car while Damion, Tommy, and I were determined to reach the top. (Some points, we were literally on our hands and knees crawling straight up!) But.... WE MADE IT!!!!
We finally reached the top as our original group was just about to head back down. We were so high up (I'm scared or heights) but it was gorgeous! I( felt like we were closer to the clouds in the sky than we were to the ground!
So gorgeous!!
Our way back was WAY faster than the way up, and it started to sprinkle a little bit which was REALLY refreshing! We went to the brides parents house and had bratwurst for lunch and then my sisters family, cousins, and I headed out to the best cupcakery in town for a snack!! The rain nor the hail stopped us from getting these bad boys! SO good!

Do you like hiking?

That one time I was supposed to go to Boise and didn't...

So remember how I mentioned that both 'Mr. Sprinkles and Glitter' and I would be racing the half Ironman in his hometown, Boise? Well, half of that happened this past weekend.
Let me back up a little bit... I had been training for this race and was beyond excited- not only for the race but to see all of 'Mr. Sprinkles and Glitter's' family and friends in his hometown. Due to the fact that I am the world's biggest procrastinator- I put off actually registering for the race and buying a plane ticket until, say, a week before the race. (I know! I'm horrible- and I'm working on it! :))

$280 dollars later, I had a plane ticket. I found it super cheap through Google- it was so easy and there was no tax! Then I went to register for the race- $290 dollars! I wasn't expecting it to be that high and then to add in the cost of shipping my bike out there, it just didn't seem reasonable to pay that much for one race.

Luckily, 'Mr. Sprinkles and Glitter' is not a procrastination and bought his ticket and registration months ago (at a MUCH cheaper price too!) So he was still going to race and I was just going for the fun. :)

'Mr. Sprinkles and Glitter' left on Wednesday after work and I wasn't leaving until Friday, super lame I know. Fast forward to Friday, and I had Maria pick me up after work and take me to the airport. I got there and tried using the kiosk and it wasn't working- I found out I was at the wrong airlines kioks- ya, that was embarrassing!! So I go over to US Airways and try using their kiosk- again, it doesn't work. So I went to the counter and waited in line. (At this point, I was starting to get a little worried because it was getting close to my boarding time and I still had to get through security.) I got up to the counter and gave her my name and confirmation number and she couldn't find me either- I thought for sure Google had robbed me and I didn't buy a real plane ticket! ;)

She asked me to show her my confirmation email and when she looked at it she said it was for June 20th- not today June 6th!! First I was mortified, I still don't even know how this happened- when I finished paying for it, the confirmation page since "you flight for this Friday"...? But at this point, there wasn't much I could do. I told her I needed to change it to today. She started typing away on her keyboard and finally said it would be $688 dollars to change my ticket to today. Since I only spent $280 dollars on my ticket, I asked if I could just buy a new one. She said sure and began typing away. This time she said it would be $695 dollars to buy a new ticket.

I thanked her for her time and left the counter without a ticket. I was crushed and still trying to figure out how this mistake happened. So I called 'Mr. Sprinkles and Glitter' and told him I wasn't coming and then called my sister and asked if she could come get me. Such a mess!

I was so bummed I was not only going to miss his race, but also seeing all his family and friends. But- the good news is, 'Mr. Sprinkles and Glitter' did AMAZING at the race- even though his favorite person wasn't there!;)
Meanwhile, I got to hang out with my sister and her kids all weekend! Win-win! We started a HUGE project for Father's Day- I'm still not sure what we were thinking!! haha! I'll post more on that later..

Did anyone else race this weekend?

Have you ever missed a flight before? (Or showed up on the wrong day like me!:))

What are you doing for Father's Day?

Everyone meet Kona!!

Last weekend after my bike ride I came home and showered, waiting for 'Mr. Sprinkles and Glitter' to finish his bike ride when he called me and said he was going to stop at a bike shop and get some stuff he needed for the race in Boise (this coming weekend). Less than 5 minutes after I hung up with him, he called me back again (which is really unusual because he hates talking on the phone). When I said "hello?" he responded with "should I adopt a dog that looks just like Paris?" I was a little shocked but said yes! We had been talking about getting another dog (a friend for Paris) for awhile, so I was excited.

He texted me this picture as he filled out the application for her:
Once he finally got home (it felt like forever!) I told him I would meet him in the backyard with Pairs on a leash to see how they got along. They were both a little scared at first, but they've warmed up to each other and now are the best of friends!
Kona is super happy in front and Paris is in the back
Her original name was Fefe... yeah, I know. Since she wasn't responding to it anyways and it was too close to 'P-P' (which is what we call Paris sometimes) we decided to change it. I asked my niece and nephew for suggestions and they threw out the names 'Flower' and 'Lightning McQueen'. Although those were tough competition, we decided to go we Kona.
It is crazy how much her and Paris look alike! We even had trouble telling them apart at first, haha! Kona is a definitely our 'special' dog- she's bumped into quite a few walls, walked right into the dog door, and at the park she was running so fast her front legs couldn't keep up and she went sliding on her chin!! She is hilarious though! If you are walking anywhere near her, she will immediately fall over and roll onto her back expecting you to pet her.

But we love her already! She already knows how to use the dog door and everything!

Do you have any pets?

What's your favorite animal?

Happy National Running Day!!

Happy National Running Day everyone!! Today is definitely one of my favorite days of the year, along with National Cupcake Day and National Fro Yo Day of course!! ;)
From my Instagram: TeamSprinklesAndGlitter
Hope you all got out there and celebrated today!! I went to the gym with my sister for a ridiculously hard class after work. I haven't gone to a gym class in FOREVER because I usually don't get a good workout in-- but this class was literally NO JOKE!! (I'm already sore as I'm typing this- so tomorrow should be fun!:))

After the class, I hung out with 'Mr. Sprinkles and Glitter' for a little bit before taking him to the airport. He is on his way to Boise for the weekend. (I'm going up there too, I'm just not leaving until Friday after work.) Once I dropped him off, I did a short run around my neighborhood. And don't worry- even though it was almost 7PM, it was still over 100 degrees outside!! Seriously, it's ridiculous.

Especially in the Arizona summer heat, right?! ;) And because I didn't take a picture and tomorrow is Thursday, here is a throwback to last years National Running Day, which turned into a scorching-hot-hair-tie-disaster! :)

Did you celebrate today with a run?

Anyone racing this weekend? If so, where at?
